Team Europe's Saturday outfit revealed for 'Stylish Saturday'

The European women will look especially fashionable on Saturday with a stylish colour palette

When the Solheim Cup enters its second day at Gleneagles in Scotland on September 14th, the European team will be making a statement with a stylish colour palette including navy, white and a dusty pink called rhubarb. One of the special things about the diversity of the European team is there are so many colours to choose from to represent a group of the best European women golfers from seven different countries.

However, the colours are not the only thing that will make the European women stand out. With a wide array of clothing, carefully selected to meet the often-unpredictable conditions at the famous Scottish parkland style course, they will be covered for anything mother nature can throw at them. Cool temperatures, wind blowing across the Scottish countryside, rain which can start and stop at any moment and, everything in between.

Crail polo

The Saturday outfit consists of: Crail polo shirt, a functional polo in rhubarb with navy trim. Ashby full zip, a warmer garment with nice soft fleece inside to stay warm on colder early mornings, in fashionable rhubarb with navy panels.

Arden vest

Arden Vest

Arden vest, a must have, windproof and warm over the players backs and shoulders, while allowing their arms to move freely, in navy.

Swinley rain jacket

Grace trousers, so stretchy they’ll barely feel they’re wearing them, in navy. Portnoo trousers, windproof with a fleece lining for the chilly mornings, in navy. Finally, since rain always seems to be just a few minutes away in Scotland, the Swinley rain jacket and trousers to protect against any kind of wet weather, option of navy or white.

After the specially commissioned tartan highlighted Friday’s clothing and the stylish colour palette for Saturday, what can the European fans look forward to for the final day’s outfit? Well, we’re not ready to reveal that just yet. You’ll just have to stay tuned to find out.

A limited amount of the styles seen on the course will be available for sale at the event merchandise shop at Gleneagles during the event week.

The Solheim Cup will be broadcasted to more than 600 million homes worldwide with the match-play format aiming to engage both the traditional golf audience as well as wider sports fans, raising the profile of women’s golf both in Scotland and internationally.

The Scottish Government’s aspiration is that the 2019 Solheim Cup is the biggest ever European edition of the event and the most family-focused golf event in history with around 100,000 spectators expected at Gleneagles. Tickets are priced from just £10 for adults with children under-16 admitted free of charge. For more information visit www.solheimcup2019.com
