Bunclody Golf and Fishing Club 2021

Always a sell-out on the Golf Digest Tour schedule, Bunclody Golf and Fishing Club is situated on 300 acres of breathtaking parklands in the former Hall-Dare Estate on the Carlow Wexford border.

Venue: Bunclody Golf and Fishing CLub

Date: Friday 20th August 2021

Entry: Visitor €60, Bunclody Member €40

Entry to The Golf Digest Open is €60 per visitor, €40 for members and is open to all golfers, even those without an official handicap. Only golfers with an official GUI or ILGU handicap can enter the main Category competitions.

The categories include handicap 0-12, 13-24 and ladies 0-36. There are THREE prizes in each category and if you win, it's YOUR CHOICE: 1st (Bushnell V5 Laser or TaylorMade SIM2 Driver), 2nd (Bushnell GPS Wingman or TaylorMade Spider X Putter) and 3rd (Bushnell GPS Watch or TaylorMade Stand Bag).

All golfers, including those without an official handicap, can win prizes on all FOUR Par 3 Nearest the Pin Competitions and  TWO Longest Drives Competitions, one for the ladies and one for the gents.

All Category winners on the day go through to the Golf Digest Open Grand Final at the Heritage Golf Resort and the winner will be crowned the Golf Digest Open Champion Golfer 2020.

Due to COVID-19 there will be no goodie bags or prize giving and all prizes will be posted out following the tournament.

There will still be FREE drinks at the reception, the 9th Hole and on the first tee, courtesy of Britvic Ireland

There is also a FREE delicious burger after nine holes...yum.

Designed by Jeff Howes, the Championship course runs 7,000 yards making it an undeniable championship course. The finishing five holes descending down to the River Slaney will stand in comparison to Amen Corner itself.

The 16th hole is awesome, as the view is the 17th championship tee at The K Club where the River Liffey provides the intimidatory element. The wooded hills here will surely echo to cries of joy and anguish for golfers as they do battle here.

The 18th hole leads you through the woods to our architecturally designed clubhouse. With its thatched roof symbolising the Moss House of a bygone era, it has the characteristics of an old historic golf club yet it boasts state-of-the-art amenities.

A great test and a wonderful golfing experience awaits all players, time and time again, so get this one booked early.
