Co. Louth Golf Club 2021


This tournament has limited tee times and is a rescheduled tournament from 2020. It was fully booked originally - Don’t let the grass grow under feet on this one.

Entry: €85 Visitors, Co. Louth €40 Members


The categories include handicap 0-12, 13-24 and ladies 0-36. There are THREE prizes in each category and if you win, it's YOUR CHOICE: 1st (Bushnell V5 Laser or TaylorMade SIM2 Driver), 2nd (Bushnell GPS Wingman or TaylorMade Spider X Putter) and 3rd (Bushnell GPS Watch or TaylorMade Stand Bag).

All golfers, including those without an official handicap, can win prizes on all FOUR Par 3 Nearest the Pin competitions and on the TWO Longest Drives competitions.

All Category winners on the day go through to the Golf Digest Open Grand Final at the Heritage Golf Resort and the winner will be crowned the Golf Digest Open Champion Golfer 2021.

Due to COVID-19 there will be no goodie bags or prize giving. All prizes will be posted out to the winners following the tournament.

There will still be FREE drinks at the reception, the 9th Hole and the first tee, courtesy of Britvic Ireland.

There is also a FREE delicious burger after nine holes...yum.


County Louth Golf Club or as it is affectionately known, ‘Baltray’, is situated in the historic Boyne Valley region just north of Drogheda.  Perched along the mouth of the Boyne estuary and within a 45-minute drive from Dublin Airport it is also within a 1 hour drive of the city of Dublin. 

The Couse is etched into Irish golfing history, when it famously became the venue where 2019 Open Champion Shane Lowry won the Irish Open as an Amateur.

The championship course features natural unspoilt links with towering sandhills, testing rough and a variety of great holes that demands accurate hitting and strategic thinking.

Currently ranked #8 by Golf Digest, the championship links is a par 72 measuring 7,031 yards from the back tees and is known for providing one of the purest and fairest tests of links golf in the world.
