This is the first time Golf Digest will host a tournament in Beaverstown Golf Club and it testament to the quality of the course and all the players will certainly be looking forward to.
Venue: Beaverstown Golf Club
Date: Friday 13th August 2021
Entry: €55 Visitors, Beaverstown Members €40.00
The categories include handicap 0-12, 13-24 and ladies 0-36. There are THREE prizes in each category and if you win, it's YOUR CHOICE: 1st (Bushnell V5 Laser or TaylorMade SIM2 Driver), 2nd (Bushnell GPS Wingman or TaylorMade Spider X Putter) and 3rd (Bushnell GPS Watch or TaylorMade Stand Bag).
All golfers, including those without an official handicap, can win prizes on all FOUR Par 3 Nearest the Pin competitions and on the TWO Longest Drives competitions.
All Category winners on the day go through to the Golf Digest Open Grand Final at the Heritage Golf Resort and the winner will be crowned the Golf Digest Open Champion Golfer 2020.
Due to COVID-19 there will be no goodie bags or prize giving. However, there will still be FREE drinks at the reception, the 9th Hole and one the first tee. As usual, there is also a FREE delicious burger after nine holes...yum.
The course offers golfers one of the most unique challenges in Dublin. Situated in Donabate, north Dublin, its design makes the best use of its many natural features; the shores of Rogerstown estuary in North County Dublin, 6 lakes, 36 acres of mature apple trees and a stream that meanders through the course.
The orchards, in fact, border the tees, fairways and undulating greens on 8 of the holes, while the streams and lakes come into play on 12 holes.
The 411-yard 14th hole is arguably the feature hole at Beaverstown and the 140-acre course is built to USGA standard and the sand-based greens allow play all year round. The course is particularly beautiful in May during apple blossom time.
This Golf Digest tournament is hosted just days after the club's Captains Prize competition, so the course will be immaculate.
You will need to book early as an absolute treat awaits all.
